Worship at our Glendora Campus
WHAT TO EXPECT…
We’re so excited that you are interested in visiting our Glendora Campus!
Checking out a church for the first time can be intimidating or confusing, so it’s our goal to make your first-time experience at Real Life as easy and hassle-free as possible. We've put together a bit of information here for you about where to park, how to drop off your kids, what the worship experience is like, and how to get connected.
WHEN IS THE SERVICE?
We host three worship services in the same style on Sundays at 9am & 10:30am in our Chapel with overflow seating available on our patio. We have full children’s and middle school ministries.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Whatever you want! We welcome jeans, t-shirts, bow-ties, baseball uniforms, hipsters…well, you get the idea. You’ll see a few folks dressed up; you’ll find a lot of folks dressed pretty casually. We truly encourage everyone to come as you are!
WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
Our Glendora Campus is located at
804 E. Foothill Blvd., Glendora, CA
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?
When you pull into the parking lot, park anywhere you’d like. If the lot is full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The building is handicap-accessible and there are designated handicapped parking spaces in the parking lot.
Outside the lobby, you’ll find a table with donuts and coffee, as well as plenty of friendly people welcoming you to Real Life Church. You’ll want to check-in your kids using the iPads at the check-in station BEFORE going into service. Your older kids will be dismissed from the service later on. More details on that below.
As you enter the room, you’ll be welcomed by one of our awesome greeters. Grab a seat anywhere you’d like.
WHAT’S THE SERVICE LIKE?
First things first, you won't be pointed out or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. You will have a meaningful, stress-free experience... and you may even have some fun!
Each service is about 60 minutes. We usually begin by singing some worship music led by our band. We'll have the song lyrics on the screen, so you can sing as much or as little as you feel comfortable! After a few songs and a prayer, one of our leaders will welcome everyone and mention a few upcoming announcements. During that time, we invite all kids (Kindergarten-8th grade) to make their way out to their classrooms where our kids’ leaders will take them to their respective classes. If you have kids and would like to accompany them to their class at this point, feel free to do so.
After announcements, we usually sing two more songs, receive the offering, and then jump into the day’s teaching. Each message/sermon is about 20-25 minutes long and digs into the scriptures in a way that is engaging, eye-opening, challenging yet non-judgmental, and applicable to everyday life. After the teaching, we’ll generally spend some time in prayer and dismiss. There are people available to pray with you after the service if you'd like.
FYI... we do offer Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Communion takes place immediately following the sermon.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We LOVE kids at Real Life LA, and have full programs at both services. For the little ones, we offer a nursery and preschool classrooms. For children (K-5th grade) and middle school students (6th-8th grade), we have programs at both services as well. We have a trained team of leaders who work hard to create a fun, safe, interactive, and loving environment. Your child will want to come back every week! (PS: All of our kids and student leaders are background checked.)
CHECK-IN
All ages, birth thru 8th grade, check-in at the welcome team’s iPads upon arrival.
● Infants-Preschool: Check-in at the iPad stations (outside the sanctuary lobby or in the chapel lobby) and then you can go directly to your classrooms. You will find information on classrooms assignments by age at the check-in stations.
● Elementary - Middle School (K-8th): Check-in at the iPad stations (outside the sanctuary lobby or in the chapel lobby). Then, join your family for worship. During the service, we will invite elementary and middle school students to meet their small group leaders in the front of the church and they will travel with their small group to the courtyard and classroom spaces.
For K-5th check out, parents will present their claim ticket at the entrance of the courtyard and proceed to the small group rooms for check out. We have a full list of check-out stations by grade at the check-in stations and in the courtyard.
PLEASE NOTE: All families, please keep track of your family “claim ticket” / check-out label as you will need to present this to the classroom leader or small group leader upon check out. All children must be signed out by an adult and will only be released to family members with the check-out “claim ticket”.
We will have a check-in station in the lobby of the chapel and the sanctuary for your convenience. Our check-in team members will be present to provide assistance as needed. Please refer to the signs for classroom assignments.
CHECK-OUT
Infants through Preschool: Parents are asked to sign out babies and preschoolers from their classrooms immediately following the service. If you need help, just ask one of our team members in the lobby.
K - 5th Graders: Parents are asked to sign out K-5th graders immediately following the service from their classrooms. Just head to the courtyard after the service to find your child’s classroom.
6th - 8th Graders: Student Ministry leaders dismiss middle schoolers directly from their area, and students will meet their families near our coffee area immediately following service.
